This is the first year I plan to have my own garden, wahooooooo! I may be pushing it a few years too early but hey, I’m anxious to have my own. The reason for my uncertainty? I live in an apartment and this garden will be at my parent’s house, about 10 miles away. So we’ll see how excited I am this summer to drive to weed, water, and care for it. Maybe I will get really ambitious and dust my bike off at the same time? 🙂
In my head I keep saying that I’m not going to plant too much, but my pile of seeds kinda says otherwise. This first season I want to do lots of experimenting with unique crops and see what works well. Ya know, things my parent’s would never think of planting: quinoa, amaranth, chia seeds, sugar beets (to make my own “molasses”), ground cherries, garden huckleberries, etc, etc, etc.
Stay tuned for my experiments in “small time/unique” gardening! Time to organize the seeds into ones I need to start early and make a planting chart. 🙂
